Fast Electrons Interacting with Chiral Matter: Mirror-Symmetry Breaking of Quantum Decoherence and Lateral Momentum Transfer

چکیده
Photons experience mirror asymmetry of macroscopic chiral media, as in circular dichroism and polarization rotation, since left- right-handed polarizations differently couple with matter handedness. Conversely, free relativistic electrons vanishing orbital angular momentum have no handedness so the question arises whether they can sense chirality geometrically symmetric samples. In this paper, we show that breaks symmetry scattered electrons' quantum decoherence, even when incident electron wave function sample shape a common reflection plane. This is physically possible wave-function transverse smearing triggers sensitivity to spatial electromagnetic interaction sample, results from our nonperturbative analysis reduced density matrix, framework electrodynamics. Furthermore, prove also shows up distribution lateral momentum, orthogonal geometric plane, whose nonvanishing mean value reveals experiences mechanical entirely produced by chirality.

THE FRANK KINETIC MODEL FOR SPONTANEOUS CHIRAL SYMMETRY BREAKING WITH VARIABLE CONCENTRATION OF THE ACHIRAL SUBSTRATE
This paper considers the possibility of spontaneous transition of aracemic mixture (composed of equal amounts of two enantiomeric species, say L and D) into a monochiral state (in which only one enantiomer, say L, is present). Transitions of this kind have been recently experimentally observed. A plausible approach to this phenomenon is a model put forward by Frank, based on simple laws of ...

We study time dependence of exchange symmetry properties of Bell states when two-qubits interact with local baths having identical parameters. In case of classical noise, we consider a decoherence Hamiltonian which is invariant under swapping the first and second qubits. We find that as the system evolves in time, two of the three symmetric Bell states preserve their qubit exchange symmetry wit...
متن کاملNatural electroweak symmetry breaking in generalised mirror matter models
It has recently been pointed out that the mirror or twin Higgs model is more technically natural than the standard model, thus alleviating the “little” hierarchy problem. In this paper we generalise the analysis to models with an arbitrary number of isomorphic standard model sectors, and demonstrate that technical naturalness increases with the number of additional sectors. We consider two kind...
